Here are some pics. Pond is getting clear, and I added 2 large l ily pads in cement pots today. They need to grow above water, but they will get enough light. I think this tooad has made himself at home. Ran errands in the Sunchaser today.

Did I mention I have no hot water so I rented a hotel room for the family to take showers?  That is another story.

My eyes are bugging out right now that you casually lament having to get a hotel room to get hot water. What the fuck. That sucks and I hope it gets sorted pronto.

I remember when my barracks lost hot water for like a week. We ended up heating water on the stove for showers. It actually worked pretty well.

As a Marine, cold showers are refreshing! My grandfather actually never used hot water. It’s actually good for the immune system.   Oh I found this VW with Porsche wheels in SF today.

My house has had some plumbing issues and the main water line has frozen every couple years. (It’s now pex, and it thankfully hasn’t burst...)

I’m fine with just collecting a few gallons at a time from work and that’s how I’ve had to shower when it happens. I guess I could probably go to the rec center if I got desperate enough though.

My current work has showers in the locker rooms so if push came to shove that would be an option at least.

Isn’t it hot up there? Just go for a quick jog/power walk around the block to get sweaty, then a quick, refreshing cold shower. A spa would charge for that treatment . Just gotta sell the experience the right way ;)
